# 62 Two Sisters, A Short Story, or a Vision? Jer 1:5, Ps 139:16.

In the not too distant future, and on a planet that could be this one.

A young woman is standing in a doorway, watching on, as her older sister, only by 18 months, is very busy. She, the older one had already turned 36 years of age.

She is rushing about the kitchen of their parents home, muttering to herself; "Oh, it's so exciting, I know I will need this, and I'd better get this ready!", and so on.

Her sister, the younger one, only by 18 months, was thinking to herself about the news.

A Prophetess, had just approached the older yesterday, with a message; "Just three days more, and a girl will find her destiny, and a woman the man of her dreams.

The older sister was always like that. In a hurry to grow up and know everything, in preparation for her life that she just couldn't wait to begin. She longed, so much, for the day she would marry and get to start her own life. Why! when she was only 4 years old, she grabbed a boy of similar age and kissed him. When she was asked, "Why did you do that?"

She replied, "Well, I needed to know what to do when I get married."

And, so it has been, her entire life. Her destiny and future was her main focus.

The younger asked; "What else did she say?, What were her exact words?

Pausing momentarily she looked up and said: "She said; 'God is well pleased with your great patience, in just three days more, a girl will find her destiny, and a woman, the man of her dreams' is what she said. Isn't it exciting, I have so much to get ready".

And off she went again, planning and organizing.

In these days, it is customary for men and women to wait till their mid 30's at least, before marriage. For the people in this "New World" never die. So, marrying was a permanent, and potentially, an everlasting arrangement. No one wanted to rush into marriage just to find they themselves were not mature enough or lacking in some way, or to find when young that their partner was not really a good fit.

"As nobody usually dies, they also do not age much. Once they reach adulthood, that's pretty much it. Some who are very old here, may get a tinge of grey in the hair, but that's all."

The word soon spread around the entire region. So much so, that some men actually came forward and wanted to meet with her, to see if, just maybe it may be them that would be 'her destiny', the 'man of her dreams". Especially as 'The Prophetess' said it, all were filled with excitement for her.

The younger was not quite old enough to marry. Besides, she has no desire to do so.

She is very happy the way she is. She will tell you that she is nothing like her sister.

Although you could tell they were sisters to look at, at the same time, they also looked different.

The younger was more fascinated by the things that God had created. Every flower, every insect, the clouds in the sky and the breeze in the tree's, everything was so beautiful in her eye's and she just wanted to be out in, exploring it and marveling at creation.

She just loves showing little ones the fascinating little tidbits, that got her excited. It is well known that she is in no rush to be married, her greatest love is Jehovah.

While in town, she met an old school friend today, he said; "Your sister is going to come to our house tomorrow night to meet those men who have come forward, do you wan't to come too?"

"Yes" she said, "I'm sure it will be a night to remember".

Everyone loves going to their family home for a meal and company. She thought, " hmmm I wonder what cakes they will have this time". She loved their biscuits (cookies) and would eat a small meal so she could enjoy the cakes.

She jokingly asked him; "Do you want to marry my sister too". Knowing very well the relationship they have. "No, besides she wouldn't have me", both laughing.

See, this young man was from a fairly large family who just loved to entertain. Not too large, for that would be unsustainable.

They would meet travelers passing through the area from time to time and ask; "Do you have any recipes we can try?"

And as soon as they found one, they just had to try it and perfect it. Or they would cook for their neighbors at any time really.

They would invite others to join them for a meal, being careful to share the love with all they could. The whole family just loved to help and serve others, it seems to be a family trait.

The older sister, though, found him to be very annoying. When they were at school, the teacher would ask; "Who would like to do this for me". His hand would shoot up and nearly leave his shoulder, he just had to help. It was as though he didn't care about others at all, she thought.

All their school years, and even till this day, she has lingering feelings of annoyance.

She went home to her sister and asked about the dinner invitation and the men she might end up marrying. "There are 3 men, I wonder which will be him?", "1 is an older man, He is 346 years old and has spent his life travelling and learning from different peoples. and I heard he likes helping out others along the way, which is nice. 1 is from a neighboring area and the last one is from here. I will have to see who is the right one!"

The prophecy kept playing in their heads over the course of those days, it was so exciting. "A girl will find her destiny, and a woman , the man of her dreams".

The next evening, after much preparation, the older sister arrived for the evening meal.

I will let the younger of the two sisters describe the evening for you.

"Our parents didn't come, they said"; 'as it was her night and they didn't want to be a distraction'.

I am already here. My friend from school has just shown me a good spot to sit and have a meal, and to keep an eye on my sister, Lol. He put me with the family from over the hill, they are lovely people with little ones, we don't get to see them too often.

I will describe the scene! The eating area is a pretty large paved section to the rear of the property, just off the kitchen. It has a trellis wall, all the way around, and there is a garden bed surrounding the area, around the perimeter where many things grow. They grow all sorts of things! You can eat nearly everything, it's edible, I mean. Vegetables and herbs, flowers and berries, hmmmm yummy. And the bee's like it too", as she giggles.

"There are wooden posts hear and there, and a patchwork of wooden framework, squares about 8" or 2.5 meters, above our heads. With grape vines crisscrossing also, can you see them? It is just coming out of winter now and warming up, so buds are appearing on the vines. Tables of varying size are all prepared for company, and it is all lit by the occasional lamp. under the full moon, it is beautiful and relaxing to be here.

There is a table, set off to one side, a table for two, prepared just for my sister. It two has place settings and a single flower, in a skinny, delicate, but not too tall vase.

It really is a beautiful night. being full moon, my friends family often plan nights for the neighbors and visitors for meals at his place.

My sister has taken her seat at the table, she's funny, sitting up straight like she is back in school.

I don't blame her though, i'd want to make a good impression and i'd probably be a bit anxious too.

The first just sat down and thanked her for meeting with him, he just now told her, how he still wants to travel for a little while, depending on how they go. After a little while, he thanked her again and left. She doesn't look too impressed with him. I wonder if the next one will be her destiny?

Almost straight away the second came, and he just now left. I can see, that with each person, she is starting to look a bit more concerned. Now the third, he looks nice too! But she just thanked him and now he's gone.

Finally, it was over. She saw me watching, and gave me a little smile.

She isn't excited or happy, she looks calm, not like before? I'm getting more than a little curios and even very confused.

She is now calling me over, with a beckoning wave of her left hand, so I tentatively asked; "How did it go? Do you know who it is?"

"Yes!.... I mean no!........ Actually, .........Iv'e decided it's none of them. They were all interesting and all but?"

Now I was even more confused, "What do you mean?"

"I do not need a man to be happy, what is more, I'm not getting married,........... I think it's time to stop planning .............and just be me, whoever that is! I sure I will get married one day, but not today!"

She just smiled and got up, thanked the hosts, and left.

I can't believe it.

I sat at the table, and everyone gradually went to there homes. I don't understand, She did say "A girl will find her destiny, and a woman, the man of her dreams", she can't be wrong, surely.

Over and over, this thought, it wouldn't leave me.

I will take it from here.

She, the younger sister was sat in the seat opposite where her sister had been, bewildered and a little upset.

Then her friend approached, he too had been keeping an eye on the Two sisters, making sure everything went well. As he and others were clearing up from the meal, he could see she wasn't coping for some reason. He asked "what happened, how did it go?"

I don't understand it, she just left and went home, and she isn't choosing any of them! Sitting opposite her now he replied, "Well that can't be right!"

"I know, Just 3 days more A girl will meet her destiny, and a woman, the man of her dreams! I just don't get it, how can she just get up and go!?

As they were discussing this, a family member, of his, came and took the plates and suggested a drink. He immediately said, "I will get it", She said, "No, iv'e got it".

He smiled and sat back down, and she soon brought the drinks, and they both said thank you.

Now, it was getting late, and the younger sister was getting a bit distressed, trying to reason these things for herself. "How can any prophet of God be wrong? How can she not want to marry all of a sudden, it's all she's ever wanted?"

He, reaching across the table, touched her hands to reassure her.

Then, instantly they both took a breath in, as they tilted their heads, one to the left, the other, to the right. They were transported through time in a vision.

Look! There! They, both of them, are sitting on a hill, to the right of a big tree. Sitting on a woolen patchwork blanket, enjoying the warmth of the sun.

Look! It was a beautiful view, the beginning of springtime, scatterings of wild flowers, here, and there. They were overlooking a valley, with meadows in the foreground and hills and tree's afar off in the distance. It was a glorious day!

There backs were to them as they looked at the vision, but it was clearly them! With the scenery off in the distance.

And see there! Look, He has a young daughter, about 5 years old on his knee, she looks just like her mum. He is sitting on his side with his knees bent. And she herself is holding a child, a boy, about 1 and a half years old on her lap.

They watched with amazement for about 20 seconds, when look! The little girl, their firstborn, jumped up, and ran around her father, over the blanket and behind her father, and found, look! a little wildflower. Then she picked for her mother, handing it to her.

Showing her, they gazed on in wonder at the flower. So too those watching the vision, and the scene.

Then it was gone, it was done!

But the scene wasn't the only aspect of the vision, they could feel the love in their hearts, for each other, for their family.

The love they felt then, from the future, lingered on in them, and was awakened in them.

They embarrassingly glanced at each other, and smiled a little smile. They, slowly rose from their seats, and without a word, their eyes met.

While they held each others small finger, and without saying a word, they slowly walked away with their heads down, but tilted away, so as to keep the other in view. As they gradually caught their breath, they walked out the rear gate and faded into the distance.

The living God, showed them, that they were perfect for each other, and would spend countless days, SO, in love.

When you think about it, who would make a better mother, than one who loves creation and everything in it. Especially the deep love she has for the one who made it all possible.

And who would make a better father, than one who is ready to serve, but humble enough to be served.

What about the prophecy. A girl, the one who had not grown to maturity in her own skin "Did, meet her destiny". Being happy in your own skin is important before you expect happiness from another.

And the "Woman", the one who was mature enough to share all her love, did "Meet the man of her dreams". Neither knew what was in store for them, but both found what was needed.

Yes! This is just a vision, a story, or is it?

Here is a few questions. What did the older sister look like? What about the younger one? Or the different men?

Or even the flowers?

It's your imagination, it will manifest as you require. I won't tell you what they all look like in my mind. But what do they look like to you.

The mash-up! "You must love Jehovah your God, with your whole Heart, Mind, Soul and Strength and keep His Commandments. If you do, you will be wise enough to bypass any trial with ease, and have an indefinitely lasting name with The Living One. Those who fail to take these things to heart, will suffer shame and fall short in a large way, all that is his, will be destroyed and cease to exist.

You who love Him, however, will flourish with joy, under the tent cloths of Jehovah, always." Ecc 12:13, Mark 12:30 and Ps 37:18-20.

I mentioned just 2 scriptural texts at the start alluding to just how well our Father in Heaven knows you, me and us. Jer 1:5 & Ps 139:16.

Jeremiah 1:5 is an awakening for God's prophet, a reassurance of The Almighties confidence in him, and his ability to serve.

Jehovah God reassures His servant with the words, "Before I was forming you in the belly I knew you, and before you proceeded to come forth from the womb I sanctified you. Prophet to the nations is what I have made you." Jer 1:5.

Ps 139:16, Is the realisation of David, Jehovah knows me! Look! "Your eyes saw even the embryo of me, And in your book all my parts were down in writing".

Read the Psalm in it's entirety yourself, Ps 139:1-24.

Considering these things from God's word, what is your conclusion?

That; 'I am a nobody', 'Nobody loves me or knows what I'm going through!"

Take a breath, You, Personally, are an individual of perpetual potential. That doen't mean you must be 'All things, Now!' Similar to the older sisters thinking. No! You be you. Make YOUR choices in life and know the true God is ALWAYS available to lend an ear, to throw your burdens upon, to thank when the joy just can't be contained, or a rock to build your hopes upon.

Keep on moving forward and listen to His nudgings, or even direct advice. He knows you, better that you do. But He will never tell you what to do, and will give you your own freedoms. Unless of course you are a priest or prophet with a specific assignment. He is always available for you, are you available for Him when He needs you?

Your future is yours, He is there to help you. He cares for you, Loves you and loves it when you are happy, and is sad, when you are at the bottom of a pit.

In short, You are on the journey of life, with Him, May you always be.
